'Next Afrobeats Star' Champions Producers' Role in Molding Talents and Shaping Sounds
Ultima Studios, popular for Project Fame West Africa, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, is floating a new TV reality series to discover and export the Next Afrobeats Stars to global stages
Next Afrobeats Star, the trailblazing TV reality show, will redefine the music industry with its groundbreaking approach to discovering and nurturing talent. Focused on exporting the culture of Afrobeats to the world, the show promises a platform for dreamers to launch their careers.
Next Afrobeats Star, the brainchild of the esteemed Ultima Studios, marks a long overdue collaboration between the renowned producers of Nigeria's most iconic TV shows and some of the best Afrobeats music producers in the industry. Ultima Studios, having played a pivotal role in Nigeria's entertainment, continues its pioneering legacy.
From introducing satellite dishes for TV signals in the late '80s to adopting international formats with "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" in 2004, Project Fame West Africa in 2008, Lions’ Den in 2021 and Family Feud in 2022, Ultima Studios now pioneers the launch of its own original international-standard music reality format with Next Afrobeats Star (NAS). With NAS, Ultima Studios should contribute to the economy by earning vital foreign exchange through the export of NAS winners and their music to the global stage.
With a legacy of discovering talents like Iyanya, Niniola, Johnny Drille, and Chike through the popular "Project Fame West Africa," Ultima Studios is now embarking on a new chapter with NAS, joining forces with music luminaries behind some of the biggest Afrobeats hits of recent years:
Osabuohien ‘Sarz’ Osaretin [One Dance by Drake ft Wizkid; Monalisa by Lojay & Sarz, Come Closer by Wizkid ft Drake; Ngozi by Crayon ft Ayra Starr.

This star-studded lineup of iconic music producers behind some of the biggest Afrobeats hits is on a mission to identify and mentor the future of Afrobeats, helping these aspiring talents navigate this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make their dreams come alive. Next Afrobeats Star is not just a show; it's a movement to propel the infectious rhythms of Afrobeats onto the global stage. The tagline - Dream, Compete, Soar - encapsulates the essence of Next Afrobeats Star – a platform where dreams are nurtured, competition is fierce, and aspiring musicians take flight toward international acclaim.
